2010 election coverage

 Welcome to the new online home of the Columbine Courier.

Along with a freshened appearance, the Web site now offers new features such as blogs, videos, a community forum and a pet of the week.

Though the site has a new look, our mission at Evergreen Newspapers remains the same: Keeping our readers well informed about important local issues that aren’t reported anywhere else. Part of this mission includes in-depth election coverage, particularly regarding Jefferson County and local state government races.

The Columbine Courier has invited more than 15 candidates for interviews, which have detailed the individuals’ backgrounds and their qualifications for elected office.

Profiles of candidates include: Jefferson County commissioner, treasurer, assessor and sheriff; state House District 22 and 28; state Senate District 22 and US Congressional District 6 races. In the coming weeks will feature profiles of Jeffco coroner and clerk and recorder candidates.

Election profiles can be seen under the local news section of the Web site.
