DAKOTA RIDGE EAGLES
Head coach: Patrick Burke
Assistant coach: Alex Chick
Classification: 5A Jeffco
Swimmers to watch: Kelsey Foster, Sr.; Kitty Nester, Sr.; Ali Borelli, Jr.; Kaila Munday, Jr.
Season opener: Nov. 30, vs. Lakewood, Ridge Pool, 4 p.m.
Outlook: “We would like to hold our fifth spot like we did last year, but this year we have a little more depth with all of out seniors so we would like to maybe take fourth,” Burke said. “We are trying to get four individuals qualified for state and all three of our relay teams.”
State championships: Feb. 8-9, EPIC Pool, Fort Collins
Quotable: “I really don’t know. I haven’t heard anything about the teams up north. My guess is that it will be a fight between Ralston Valley, Lakewood and Chatfield,” Burke said of whom may be the favorites in the 5A Jeffco League this season. “I think our team will come in fourth because I don’t think that we will have enough depth to squeak past Columbine.”
