Arapahoe Community College has received a $25,000 grant from RLC Foundation, a donor-advised fund of Rose Community Foundation, as announced by Courtney Loehfelm, executive director of the ACC Foundation.

RLC Foundation funds organizations primarily in Colorado that work toward improving the education and health status of disadvantaged children and young people.

The grant from RLC Foundation is designated to be used by the nursing, nurse aide and mortuary science career and technical education programs, and will be used to secure state-of-the-art equipment that would otherwise be unattainable. In addition, funds will provide ACC faculty with a greater opportunity to assess students’ proficiencies and improve the overall effectiveness and efficiency of each program.

“We are most grateful to receive this grant,” said Loehfelm. “This generosity from RLC Foundation will afford our students the opportunity to gain direct experience that will simulate their tasks in the workforce.”

The mission of the ACC Foundation is to create public awareness and secure funding resources that provide financial assistance and broad-based community support for Arapahoe Community College’s students, staff and programs.
