Athletes experience range of emotions during National Signing Day

Even after putting pen to paper, Columbine’s Kelsey Alsdorf had a difficult time coming to terms with what she had just done.

The Columbine senior was one of 31 local athletes to sign national letters of intent Feb. 6 as part of National Signing Day.

“I never thought it was actually going to happen,” Alsdorf said. “My heart is still pounding. It’s totally surreal, but a great feeling.”
