With one to five bear sightings reported daily in Colorado, it is important to keep up to date on bear safety.
“We have bears that are getting into trash, bears that are getting into garages, and occasionally bears actually trying to get into the house,” said Jennifer Churchill, spokeswoman for Colorado Parks and Wildlife.
According to Churchill, the only bears in Colorado are black bears, which aren’t aggressive but are hungry. Most often, bears will try to avoid people.
