PARKER — The Chatfield Chargers found themselves in a win-one, lose-one situation July 20 at the Willie White League varsity state tournament, winning 5-4 against ThunderRidge in the semfinals before losing 7-4 to Pueblo West in the championship game at Chaparral High School
Despite staggering heat the Chargers held their confidence throughout Game 1 against the ThunderRidge Grizzlies, racking up five runs off nine hits. But by Game 2 the Chargers were drained and the Pueblo West Cyclones took advantage of that.
