Charles F. "Chuck" Johnson, 79

Charles F. “Chuck” Johnson, 79, passed away on Christmas Day 2009.

He was born March 18, 1930, in Glendale, Calif.

He worked as a petroleum geologist for Union Oil Co. and later as a consulting geologist in Denver.

Chuck's summer home was in Littleton and his winter home in North Hutchinson Island, Fla., where he had many friends and loved ones.

He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Carolyn Loeffler-Johnson; his two daughters, Cathy (Judd) Bowers and Stacey Garst; stepchildren Kathryn (David) Bleichrodt of Beulah, Lawrence (Linda) Loeffler of Medical Lake, Wash., Lori (Michael) Paradis of Highland Village, Texas, Linda (Tom) Fontana of Orange Park, Fla., and Joseph (Vicki) Loeffler of Flower Mound, Texas. He was also was survived by 18 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A funeral Mass was held at St. Frances Cabrini Church on Jan. 4.

The family asks that donations be made to the Salvation Army, www.salvationarmy.org, in memory of the giving spirit of Chuck.

Chuck brought sparkle to our lives and warmed us with his gentle smile and infectious spirit. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends, who loved him very much.
