Chatfield boys capture 5A Jeffco League title

The Chatfield Chargers' boys basketball team captured the 5A Jeffco League championship outright on Wednesday night with an 84-57 victory over Arvada West at Chatfield Senior High School.
The win was Chatfield's 19th straight and improved the Chargers to 21-1 on the season, 15-0 in conference play.
Chatfield plays host to rival Columbine on Friday. The varsity girls game is scheduled for 5:30 p.m., with the boys game to follow.
