Like any rivalry worth admission, Chatfield vs. Columbine had plenty of blood, sweat and tears.
Columbine’s Garrett Hurlbut and Chatfield’s Kyle Slavin both got small cuts early before coming back for more. The two accidentally collided in the fourth quarter opening gashes in each of them and stopping the game for some scrubbing of the floor.
Sweat? The game went forever, forcing both girls team to wait more than 30 minutes. Which brings us to the tears.
