The Class 5A, Region 2 cross-country race took place on Oct. 22 at the Chatfield Botanic Gardens, but without the help of countless volunteers clearing the cross-country course, it may not have.
The course was wet, muddy and snowy thanks to a storm the night before, and countless volunteers spent the entire day shoveling snow and getting the course ready for the race.
And the Dakota Ridge Eagles are sure glad they did.
