Residents looking to ring in the New Year by tossing out their old Christmas trees can drop them off instead.
The city of Littleton and the South Suburban Park and Recreation District are turning old Christmas trees into mulch. The trees will be mulched and used in landscaping throughout the South Suburban District and the city.
Trees can be dropped off at Cornerstone Park to be recycled from dawn to dusk through Jan. 13. Mulch is available from the city year-round at the northwest corner of South Prescott Street and West Prentice Avenue.
