The Colt Canter Community Walk for Caring Connections will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10 at Columbine Hills Elementary School. Check in/registration is at 9 a.m. and the walk begins at 10 a.m. The non-competitive walk is approximately one mile through the Columbine Hills neighborhood. Concessions, entertainment and bicycle rodeo will be offered at the end of walk. Caring Connections is a program created in 2006 to reach out to Columbine Hills Elementary students and their families in times of challenge such as a death, birth, serious illness/injury, loss of job, etc. Registration by Sept. 25 for individuals is $10 and $35 per family/team. Registration on the day of the event for individuals is $15 and $45 per family/team. There will also flu shot clinic from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Shots are $27 and $30 for the spray.
