Jason Bane, the Lakewood Democrat challenging incumbent Republican Kevin McCasky for the District 2 county commission seat, is floating the idea of a four-day workweek for county employees.
Bane is short on specifics. He did not say if he would favor shutting down certain county functions on certain days or how much money the plan would save. But the 31-year-old former journalist and current communications specialist, who's taking his first swing at elected office after working on several campaigns, would like to get a discussion going.
