The first female police chief in Littleton’s history, Heather Coogan, is set to retire on April 1 after five years in the position.
Coogan is taking advantage of the Littleton Police Department’s offer of early retirement to officers between the ages of 57 and 65. The city has offered several incentives for early retirement, including paying for health and dental insurance premiums for the officers.
