A large sign with the Dunkin’ Donuts logo announces the anticipated opening of a new shop on South Kipling Parkway in the coming months. The steel framework for the building is in place at the site, where construction workers are making progress on completing the project by this summer.
Josh Blanchard, one of the owners of the franchise, says he is thrilled to be opening a second Dunkin’ Donuts in Littleton. Another shop is on West Mineral Avenue.
“We selected this location because it provides easy access for families, students and business professionals in the area who desire Dunkin’ Donuts’ wide range of hot and iced coffees, lattes, teas, sandwiches, doughnuts and other baked goods,” he said.
Blanchard is partnering with Matthew Schnittman, Doug Kelsall and Vanguard Capital LLC in the new Dunkin’ Donuts.
The first Dunkin’Donuts opened in 1950 in Quincy, Mass. Five years later the company licensed the first of many franchises, according to information on its website. Today, there are more than 11,300 Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants worldwide, including more than 8,000 in 41 U.S. states.
