Andrew Edwards may never again have a game like he did May 5 against Dakota Ridge. But for one day the Chatfield first baseman was swinging the bat as if he were the second coming of Barry Bonds.
And, oh, what an appropriate time to do that.
Edwards homered three times in four at-bats, driving in six runs as the host Chargers scored a 9-5 victory in what turned out to be an elimination game to determine which teams would qualify for the 5A state baseball playoffs out of the Jeffco League.
