Level 1 evacuation alerts were lifted Tuesday morning for the Willow Bend Fire, which had burned 1.5 acres on U.S. Forest Service land near Long Scraggy Peak.

The wildfire, which started early Monday afternoon, was reported to be 70  percent contained on Tuesday afternoon.

CodeRED calls went to 119 phones Monday between the South Platte River and Deckers, according to the Jeffco Sheriff’s Office.

Firefighters from the U.S. Forest Service and North Fork responded. A helicopter was being used to drop water on the blaze.

The cause of the fire was not known. Officials said smoke would likely be visible for the rest of the week.
