The Foothills Park & Recreation District is giving residents a holiday present again this December.

Foothills has waived the $5 fee for district ID cards during December. The ID cards enable patrons to get the in-district rate at Foothills facilities, including the golf courses.

“It’s something we have done for the last couple of years. We want to make sure our patrons have the district’s resident price. We like giving them a little perk to save,” said Kelly Rodriguez, recreationalist specialist at The Ridge Rec Center. “People definitely come and take advantage of it.”

District rates are usually $2 to $3 cheaper than non-district rates.

Rodriguez said it takes about five minutes to obtain an ID, and it is valid for three years. Proof of residence, such as a valid driver’s license, utility bill or bank statement, is required to get an ID.

For questions, call the district at 303-409-2100.
