A former Littleton police officer who pleaded guilty to drug trafficking charges has been sentenced to federal prison.
Jeffery Johnston, 48, pleaded guilty to federal drug-trafficking and firearms counts last October. He was sentenced Feb. 3 to 48 months in federal prison along with a $25,000 fine to keep his house from being seized.
Johnston was arrested by the FBI at his home in Parker on July 19, 2013, after a confidential informant reportedly sold him 16 grams of the drug MDMA, commonly referred to as Ecstasy, for $1,300.
