Wild West Day at the Colorado Railroad Museum

Wild West Day will be held from 9 to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 22, at the Colorado Railroad Museum, 17155 W. 44th Ave., Golden. Wild West Day will provide period re-enactors bringing the 1880s Colorado railroad experience to life with fast-draw contests, train robberies and sharp-shooting exhibitions. Train rides depart every 30 minutes between

Collegiate Academy of Colorado spring raffle

Collegiate Academy of Colorado Foundation will host a spring car raffle at 10 a.m. June 22 at the school, 8420 S. Sangre de Cristo Road, Littleton. Volunteer Trail Day

Volunteer Trail Day will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 22, at Reynolds Park.

Volunteers will build a 10-mile trail that will provide scenic views of Cathedral Spires, the South Platte Valley and Pike's Peak. This new trail at Reynolds Park will terminate at the South Platte River, allowing access to the Colorado Trail, and be open to all user groups. Historian Noel to give presentation

The Arc to host annual summer picnic

Mobile spay/neuter clinics

Foothills Animal Shelter will offer its mobile spay/neuter clinics in June throughout Jefferson County. Check-in time is 7:30 a.m. Surgery space is limited and is on a first-come, first-served basis. No appointment is needed. Pets will go home the same day. Pet owners should pick up their pet between 3 and 4 p.m. Pricing is $20 for cats and $60 for dogs (cash/credit card only). ‘The Great K & A Train Robbery’ in the Grove

Jefferson County Historical Society and Jefferson County Parks present the classic silent adventure “The Great K & A Train Robbery” at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, July 20 in Heritage Grove next to Hiwan Homestead Museum, 4208 S. Jeffco Public Health offers video clinics

Jefferson County Public Health is offering a new video series to educate residents about reproductive health issues including birth control, sexually transmitted infections/diseases and optimal spacing of children along with other topics. Every month, a JCPH family planning registered nurse, Melanie Rogers, will talk about different family planning topics. Alzheimer’s Caregivers Support Group meets monthly in Evergreen

Mt. Evans Home Health & Hospice, in cooperation with the Alzheimer’s Association, offers a support group for caregivers, family and friends of people with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias on the third Monday of every month from 4:30 to 6 p.m. The free program is designed to help caregivers cope with emotional and practical aspects of the disease. This group offers participants an opportunity to learn more about Alzheimer’s and provides a link to other caregivers and community resources. The group meets at the Mt. Colorado State Parks is selling the new Aspen Leaf Lifetime Senior Pass for $175, and it will be valid for the lifetime of the purchaser. Collegiate Academy of Colorado has added fencing to its extracurricular programs. Participants, grades 3-8, have the opportunity to learn basic, intermediate and advanced fencing techniques. Cat food drive

The Cat Care Society is holding a cat food drive for Nibbles & Kibbles, the shelter’s food bank. The food bank provides emergency supplies of pet food to clients of local food banks. Clients must be affiliated with regular food banks in Jefferson County where they can obtain the Nibbles & Kibbles vouchers.
