The Jeffco Action Center has received a $40,000 Daniels Fund grant to support its programs.
Jeffco Action Center, a human-services nonprofit, provides an immediate response to basic human needs and promotes pathways to self-sufficiency through intervention, prevention and connection to essential services. More than 25,000 Jefferson County residents receive assistance annually at the center with food, clothing, homeless shelter, medical and utility assistance. With the help of hundreds of volunteers, the center gives help, provides hope and builds dignity while breaking the cycle of poverty.
“We are very excited about the support we get from Daniels Fund,” said Joe Haines, director of development. “They have been and continue to be a great partner to the poor, working poor and homelessness in Jefferson County.”
The Daniels Fund operates the Daniels Fund Scholarship Program and the Daniels Fund Grants Program in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming. The Fund was established in 1997 by Bill Daniels, a pioneer in cable television known for his kindness and generosity to those in need.
