A 13-year-old Ken Caryl Middle School student was injured Sept. 4 when she was hit by a car in front of the school.
Danielle K. Barker, 13, was walking across Ken Caryl Avenue in a designated crosswalk when she was hit by a 1997 black Cadillac Catera driven by Dustin Wert, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
Barker was taken by ambulance to Littleton Hospital, then by helicopter to Children's Hospital in Denver.
