Littleton Symphony: Beethoven's Ninth Symphony

The Littleton Symphony Orchestra, Jurgen de Lemos, Music Director and Conductor, announces our final concert of the season: Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony in collaboration with the combined choruses of the Colorado Chorale and the Columbine Chorale. There will be two performances: Friday, May 16, 2014, 7:30 p.m. at Littleton United Methodist Church, 5894 S. Datura Street in Littleton and Sunday, May 18, 2014, 4:00 PM at Bethany Lutheran Church, 4500 East Hampden Avenue in Greenwood Village.

This season finale will open with Beethoven’s “Hallelujah” from the Christ on the Mount of Olives Oratorio followed by his spectacular Symphony No. 9, featuring the inspiring “Ode to Joy”. Our soloists include Kara Guggenmos, Soprano, Marcia Ragonetti, Alto, Jason Baldwin, Tenor and Steven Taylor, Bass. Don’t miss this performance of one of Beethoven’s most popular works!

Tickets are $15/adults, $12/seniors and FREE for youth 21 and under. They may be purchased ahead on-line at www.littletonsymphony.org or at Gorsett Violin Shop, 8100 S.
