The Littleton Symphony Orchestra, Jurgen de Lemos, Music Director and Conductor, announces our next concert of the season:  Great Stories in Music: The Fantastic Story of Peer Gynt.   The performance will take place on Friday, February 7, 2014 and will begin at 7:30 p.m. at Littleton United Methodist Church, 5894 S. Datura Street in Littleton.

This concert will open with Liszt’s Les Preludes and will feature Colorado’s own 16-year-old piano prodigy, Jiaqi Long, performing Rachmaninoff’s Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini.  David Rutherford, a familiar voice on CPR Classical, will narrate Grieg’s fantastic story of Peer Gynt along with great music by Edvard Grieg.  Please join us for a highly entertaining evening of music and storytelling.

Tickets are $15/adults, $12/seniors and FREE for youth 21 and under.   They may be purchased ahead on-line at www.littletonsymphony.org or at Gorsett Violin Shop, 8100 S. Quebec Street, B206 in Centennial (M-F 12-6; Sat. 10-4).   Tickets are also available at the door on concert night (cash/checks/credit cards accepted).  For discounted group tickets (10+) or for more information, call 303-933-6824 or email us at info@littletonsymphony.org.
