A man claiming to have a gun robbed the Walgreens on West Coal Mine Avenue of painkillers on Dec. 30.

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is asking for help in finding the suspect, described as a white male age 19 to 21, 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-8, blue eyes, short light brown hair and with a goatee. He was wearing a Broncos hat, hooded gray sweatshirt, black jeans and white shoes when he walked into the Walgreens at 6789 W. Coal Mine Ave. about 9 p.m. Dec. 30. He handed a note to one of the pharmacists saying he had a gun and demanding all the store's oxycodone and OxyContin, two painkillers.

The pharmacists handed the drugs over, and the suspect told them to wait a few minutes before calling the police. He fled through an emergency exit.
