A man apparently committed suicide outside the Jefferson County coroner's office in Golden on May 1.
Officer Jeff Hesalroad, spokesman for the Golden Police Department, said officers were notified that a body had been found in the parking lot outside the coroner’s office at 11:19 a.m. May 1, and they arrived within minutes.
The name of the deceased wasn't being released, pending notification of family. No other details were released about the death.
It is "still very much an active investigation," Hesalroad said.
