Man gets 12 years in firearms incident involving two Jeffco deputies

A fleeing suspect who threatened two law officers with a gun in South Jeffco, then was shot, in December 2015 was sentenced last Thursday to a total of 12 years in prison.

Michael Manaois, 39, pleaded guilty to felony charges of menacing, possession of a weapon by a previous offender, and second-degree assault of a peace officer, according to district attorney’s spokeswoman Pam Russell.
