ARVADA – There wasn’t a lot of things Dakota Ridge's girls basketball team did right Feb. 5 against Arvada West.
The Eagles didn’t have much intensity from the start; they shot 6-for-15 from the free-throw line, got in foul trouble and turned the ball over 20 times – seven times in the fourth quarter.
What did they do right? They won – 55-53 to improve to 16-3 (5-1 in league) and remain one game behind rival Columbine for the lead in the Class 5A Jefferson County League.
