DENVER — The Mullen Runners Roost is usually the place to be for the top prep track and field athletes.
In some ways it was, as more than 1,000 athletes from more than 60 schools showed their legs and leaps April 12 at Brother Bernard Kinneavy De La Salle Stadium.
But such was not the case for some of the top athletes from Dakota Ridge.
Distance runners Alexa and Natosha Rogers ran the 1,600 in the morning, cooled down and were off for the day to prepare for prom, while Evan Appel was looking for gold in The Golden State.
