A shooting at Arapahoe High School on Friday left one student in a coma and the suspected gunman dead by a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The victim of the attack, 17-year-old Claire Davis, was still in critical condition and in a coma Sunday night, according to a statement released by the girl’s family.
The suspected gunman, Karl Pierson, was found dead in the school by police. The senior at Arapahoe High had purchased the pump-action shotgun legally on Dec. 6 and had bought a large amount of ammunition the morning of the attacks.
