DENVER – Front Range Christian's Jared Sloan carded a 15-over-par 85 on both days of the 3A boys golf state championships at Pinehurst Country Club to finish in a four-way tie for 41st.
Sloan finished tied with Trinidad's Dante Duran, Gunnison's Kiowa Sanders and Alexander Dawson's Christian Wagner, 30 shots back of Kent Denver's Ben Moore. Moore won the 3A state title after shooting an even-par 140 total, carding a 70 each day.
Sloan, who finished 30-over for the tournament, had seven double bogeys, 11 pars and 17 bogeys. His lone birdie came on the Par-4, 425-yard No. 14 on Oct. 2.
