Sophia Chavez Dickerson, 88

Sophia Chavez Dickerson, 88, of Vienna, Va., beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on April 25, 2011.

She was born in New Mexico and lived in Denver, where she raised her family.

She was the mother of Linda (Flick) Hodges, the late Melvin (Sandra) Dickerson, Suezette (Allan) Steinhardt and Lonny (Tammy) Dickerson. She was grandmother of 17 and great-grandmother of 19.

A memorial service with reception to follow will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 16, at Evergreen Memorial Park, 26624 N. Turkey Creek Road.
