South Jeffco man arrested in shooting of woman

A South Jeffco man was arrested early Sunday after a woman was shot during a fight, according to the Jeffco sheriff.

Erik Shawn Leo Tafoya, 26, reportedly got into an argument with an unidentified adult woman and shot her in the shoulder, a statement from the sheriff's office alleges.

Deputies responded in the 7700 block of West Glasgow Place about 12:40 a.m. Jan. 26 after receiving a call about a disturbance. When the deputies arrived, they spoke with witnesses who said the victim and Tafoya had left the scene.
