Chatfield high school team hosting camp at Edge Ice Arena

The Chatfield ice hockey team will be hosting a camp for high school players in grades 9-12 at the Edge Ice Arena from July 23-26.
Cost for the four-day camp is $100.

BASKETBALL
Front Range Christian hosting three-day camp in July

Front Range Christian School is hosting a boys and girls basketball camp July 24-26 from 9 a.m.-noon and 1-4 p.m. daily.
The camp is open to students in grades 3-8. Cost is $80 per camper, which includes a camp T-shirt.
There will be prizes from the Denver Nuggets, individual evaluation for each participant, trivia games and assistance from Front Range Christian players and coaches.
Former Chicago Bulls first-round draft pick and Denver Nuggets player Mark Randall will be in attendance.
Front Range Christian basketball coach Mike Anderson is the camp director.

Youth skills camp on tap at Columbine High School
The Columbine Lady Rebels volleyball team is offering a youth skills camp Aug. 1-3 at Columbine High School.
The camp, run by the Lady Rebels’ varsity team and coaching staff, is for children in grades 6-8 and will be held daily from 9 a.m. until noon.
Participants will learn and develop fundamental volleyball skills while having fun in a positive and educational atmosphere.
Cost is $45, which includes a camp T-shirt.

Chatfield camps set for July 31-Aug. 3 and Aug. 6-9
Chatfield’s girls volleyball team will be hosting a camp July 31-Aug. 3 for players in grades 5-8 and for high school students, grades 9-12, from Aug. 6-9 at Chatfield Senior High School.
Cost is $50.

RUGBY
West Side squad runs table, wins state championship
THORNTON
— West Side Rugby, based in Littleton, won the state championship June 30 at Trailwinds Football Park with a 2-0 win over the top-seeded Northside Dragons in the three-team double-elimination tournament.
West Side, which joined forces with members of Mountain Rugby in Evergreen, opened the U-13 tournament with an 11-0 victory over the Glendale Raptors. West Side then defeated Northside 3-0 before completing the tournament undefeated and unscored upon.
