Reuter, Lady Rebels bounce back, top Fountain-Fort Carson
— Pitcher Madison Reuter allowed just one run on three hits, while walking one and striking out two as Columbine toppled host Fountain-Fort Carson 10-1 on Aug. 25.
 Reuter faced three batters over the minimum as the Lady Rebels bounced back from a 12-10 season-opening loss to Douglas County.
Columbine (1-1) had a five-run fifth inning, which included a bases-clearing single by Jessica Gilliam. Tedi Gomez and Yasmene Journo also singled in runs in the frame.
Blythe Befus had two extra-base hits. Gilliam, Gomez and Carly Perry also each had two of Columbine’s 10 hits.

Dentino, Mintz swing hot bats as Chatfield rolls over Legend
— Quinn Dentino and Rebecka Mintz each homered as Chatfield scored a 14-3 win over host Legend on Aug. 23. Dentino’s homer was a fourth-inning grand slam.
Chatfield (2-0) was coming off a 12-1 defeat of Chaparral in its season opener two days earlier.
Madison Nedved went 2-for-2 with a double and an RBI, while Carlie Sexton was 3-for-4 with two doubles and three runs batted in.
Dentino’s homer came in a seven-run fourth inning for the Lady Chargers.
Jessica Jarecki pitched four innings of three-hit ball.
