BOYS BASKETBALL
Chatfield extends win streak to nine games, thumps Gators
WESTMINSTER
— Brenden Mann scored a team-high 17 points, including five 3-pointers, as Chatfield won its ninth straight game with a 76-54 defeat of host Standley Lake on Jan. 11.
Alec Wray added 16 points and Michael Hampson scored 13 as the Chargers (11-1) improved to 5-0 in the 5A Jeffco League.
Marcus Asmus led Standley Lake (2-9, 1-4) with a game-high 23 points.

Gateway holds off Littleton, sends Lions to 3rd straight loss
Four players scored in double figures for Gateway, led by 11 points each from Damien McIntosh and Anthony Holmes, in a 50-43 defeat of host Littleton on Jan. 8.
Littleton (5-6) dropped its third straight.

Falcons snap two-game slide, knock off visiting Lyons
Front Range Christian got back on the winning track with a 45-39 home victory over Lyons on Jan. 11.
The Falcons (3-3) snapped a two-game losing streak.

GIRLS BASKETBALL
Chatfield gets on a roll in the 2nd half, tops Standley Lake

Chatfield pulled away in the second half to topple visiting Standley Lake 44-28 on Jan. 11. The Lady Chargers outscored the Lady Gators 28-11 over the final two quarters.
Chatfield (5-7, 2-3 5A Jeffco League), which started out 2-6, has won two straight and three of its last four games.
Littleton rolls to third straight win, knocks off Denver North
Laura Puchino led three players in double figures with 14 points as Littleton won its third straight and fifth in six games 69-20 over Denver North on Jan. 12.
Stephanie Puchino added 13 points and Kiera Lindgren scored 10 for the Lady Lions (6-5).

ICE HOCKEY
Gregory scores twice as Aspen pulls away from Chatfield
ASPEN
— Julian Gregory scored two goals and Aspen scored five unanswered goals to knock off visiting Chatfield 5-1 on Jan. 12 at the Lewis Ice Arena.
The Chargers (5-4-1, five points Foothills Conference) led 1-0 after Chris Kerr’s first-period goal, but couldn’t stop Aspen’s offensive onslaught. Aspen had 44 shots on goal.
