Chatfield diver Hobbs named All-America by NISCA

Chatfield sophomore diver Averly Hobbs, who placed second at the 5A state girls swimming and diving championships in February, has been chosen as one of four divers from Colorado to be named an All-American.
The National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association announced the list earlier this month. There were 100 female divers on the list.
Other Colorado divers to make  it were Alexa Beckwith of St. Mary’s Academy, Michal Bower of Loveland and Katie Russ of Mullen.

Columbine High continues search for girls lacrosse head coach

Columbine High School is looking to fill an opening for head girls lacrosse coach.

Columbine hosting a number of skills camps this summer

Columbine High School is hosting a couple of baseball camps throughout the summer with coaches Chuck Gillman and Neil Holden.
A pitching/catching camp is set for June 24-27 from 8-10 a.m., for participants ages 8-12. Cost is $50.
A hitting camp is scheduled for July 1-4. Participants ages 8-12 will go from 8-10 a.m., and participants ages 13-15 will go from 10 a.m.-noon. Cost is $50.
To reserve a spot for any of the camps, pre-pay via check made payable and mailed to Neil Holden, 7363 S. Robb St., Littleton, CO 80127. Participants can also make a payment at camp, but pre-registration reserves a spot in the camp.

Chatfield Senior to host camps July 31-Aug 2 and Aug. 5-8

Chatfield Senior High School will be hosting a volleyball camp for incoming 5th-8th graders July 31-Aug 2 and for incoming 9th-12th graders Aug. 5-8 in the main gymnasium.
Start and ending time have yet to be determined. Cost is $50, which includes a T-shirt. Forms and more information are available at www.chatfieldvolleyball.com.

Tryouts for the 2013 Chatfield volleyball team set for August
Tryouts for the 2013 Chatfield Lady Chargers volleyball program will be held Aug. 12-14 in the school’s main gymnasium.
Chatfield fields four teams — varsity, junior varsity, Level 3 and Level 4. A pre-tryout parent meeting will be held Aug. 6 in the Chatfield Senior High auditorium.
