Chargers extend winning streak to seven, rout Bear Creek
— Darius Reiter led five players in double figures with a game-high 24 points as Chatfield stretched its winning streak to seven games with a 91-69 road victory at Bear Creek on Jan. 8.
Alec Wray and Andrew St. Germain added 12 points each, Riley Welch scored 11 and Sean Laczkowski poured in 10 for the Chargers (9-2).

Late power-play goal lifts Columbine past Resurrection

Jacob Seibold’s power-play goal with 2 minutes, 55 seconds left in regulation snapped a 1-all tie and lifted Columbine to a 2-1 win over Resurrection Christian on Jan. 11 at the Edge Ice Arena.
Logan Seibold, who assisted on Jacob’s goal, scored the Rebels’ first goal to give Columbine a 1-0 lead after the first period. Garrett Devine tied the game for Resurrection Christian in the second period.
Goaltender Ashton Opperman made 34 saves for the Rebels.

Dakota Ridge unleashes attack on Summit, rolls to an 11-3 win
— Joey Dolce scored four goals and Ben Hoogenboom had a hat trick as Dakota Ridge throttled Summit 11-3 on Jan. 11 at the Stephen C. West Arena.
Dakota Ridge held Summit to just nine shots on goal.
Jake Ross, Zach Williams, Reed Hoogenboom and Graehm Konsella also scored goals for Dakota Ridge.

SWARM boys team searching for players for 2014 season

SWARM Rugby, a high school rugby club combined from Columbine, Chatfield, Dakota Ridge, D’Evelyn, Front Range Christian and Mullen high schools,  is actively recruiting players for the 2014 season.

JV, Level 3 coaches needed at Columbine High School

Columbine High School is looking for girls tennis coaches for its JV and Level 3 programs for the 2014 spring season.

Columbine to host information meeting for incoming 9th graders

Columbine High School will be hosting an eighth-grade information meeting for students interested in participating in high school athletics, activities and academic programs for the 2014-15 school year.
The meeting will be Jan. 16 at 7 p.m. in the school auditorium.
Students and parents are welcomed to gather information on Columbine’s academic programs, activities and athletic offerings, as well as graduation requirements for incoming ninth graders.
