Chargers rolling along, top Gators for eighth straight win

Alec Wray scored 19 points to lead five Chatfield players in double figures as the Chargers rolled past Standley Lake 74-54 on Jan. 14 at Chatfield Senior High School.
The Chargers (10-2, 5-0 5A Jeffco League) won their eighth straight to remain atop the conference standings.
Andrew St. Germain added 15 points, while Darius Reiter, Austin Rice and Riley Welch scored 10 each.
Marcus Asmus led Standley Lake with 13 points. Dylan Critchfield added 12 points.

Dakota Ridge pulls off furious fourth-quarter rally for victory
Cambrian Antrillo scored 12 points and seven other players scored as Dakota Ridge completed a furious fourth-quarter rally to stun host Arvada West 44-42 on Jan. 14.
The Eagles (8-2, 3-1 5A Jeffco League) trailed 40-27 entering the final eight minutes before going on a 17-2 run to steal the victory.
Thomas Neff led Arvada West with a game-high 23 points.

Rebels’ two-game winning streak snapped at Arvada West
— Columbine had its two-game winning streak snapped with a 68-39 loss at Arvada West on Jan. 16.
Thomas Neff and Jacob Gillan combied for 43 points to lead the Wildcats.
The loss dropped Columbine to 5-8 overall, 3-3 in the 5A Jeffco League.

Puchino, Lindgren help Littleton to its 10th straight victory

Laura Puchino had 21 points and seven rebounds as Littleton won its 10th straight, topping Northglenn 68-27 on Jan. 14.
Kiera Lindgren added 12 points, five rebounds and three steals for the Lady Lions (10-1).

SWARM boys team searching for players for 2014 season

SWARM Rugby, a high school rugby club combined from Columbine, Chatfield, Dakota Ridge, D’Evelyn, Front Range Christian and Mullen high schools,  is actively recruiting players for the 2014 season.
