Chatfield Senior High hosting youth clinic on March 1

Chatfield Senior High School will be hosting a spring youth baseball clinic on March 1 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., at the school’s baseball field.
Players will be working on hitting, throwing and fielding skills.
The clinic is open to boys and girls ages 8-14. Cost is $45, which includes lunch.
In case of inclement weather, the clinic will be held indoors in the school’s auxiliary gym.

Wood’s 16 points propels Dakota Ridge past Chatfield

Lauren Wood led four players in double figures with 16 points as Dakota Ridge scored a 61-46 victory over Chatfield on Feb. 14.
Jae Ferrin added 15 points, Caitlin Navratil scored 11 and Jessica LeBaron added 10 for the Lady Eagles (16-5 overall, 12-2 5A Jeffco League).
The loss dropped Chatfield to 5-16 on the season, 3-11 in conference play. The Lady Chargers had won three of their previous four games.

Front Range Christian runs its winning streak to five straight
Charis Courtney scored 14 points and pulled down eight rebounds as Front Range Christian (12-4, 6-2 2A Mile High League) extended its winning streak to five games with a 39-36 win over Resurrection Christian on Feb. 13.
Janell Hill added 11 points, while Alex Long and Ayuna Porth combined to pull down 13 rebounds.

Dakota Ridge rolling going into the playoffs, wins fifth straight

Zach Williams scored two goals, while Jake Ross and Joey Dolce added one each as Dakota Ridge (12-3-4) closed the regular season with a fifth straight win 4-2 over Battle Mountain.
Jeff Hart made 21 saves in net.
