The board of directors for the Littleton Town Hall Arts Center announced that the organization has received a grant of $10,000 from Colorado Creative Industries and the National Endowment for the Arts.
The grant is for general operating support for the center’s 2011-12 30th anniversary season. The season will feature productions of “Evita” from Sept. 16 to Oct. 16; and continues with “Wizard of Oz” from Nov. 11 to Dec. 31; “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum” from Jan. 13 to Feb. 5; “Brigadoon” from Feb. 17 to March 18; The Who’s “Tommy” from April 6 to May 6; and “The Producers” from May 18 to June 17.
The grant will also support Town Hall Arts Center’s special programming for children, including summer performance camps that culminated in public performances of “The Little Mermaid” (from July 19-24), fall and spring sessions of Actors’ Playground classes, and “Arts on the Move,” a selection of participation plays and workshops designed for outreach to schools and other venues.
