West Metro firefighter dies

A West Metro firefighter died Saturday night while off duty.

Mike Miller, a 39-year-old firefighter and paramedic with West Metro Fire Rescue, died in his sleep Feb. 15. Miller had served with West Metro for seven years.

“(Miller) was a valued member who was committed to serving our citizens in a professional and caring manner,” West Metro Fire Rescue Fire Chief Don Lombardi said in a news release. “Mike will be greatly missed.”

Miller is survived by his wife and daughter.
