Jea King, 73, was among warm-hearted people who jumped into chilly lake waters at the Grant Ranch Village Center on Saturday for a good cause. King and about 20 others who participated in the Polar Dip were raising funds for Tony Lopez Jr., a Denver police officer who was injured in the line of duty in December.
“I wouldn’t do this for fun,” King said. “It only takes five minutes out of my life. I can do that.”
