Silliman clutch for Eagles

LAKEWOOD — Dakota Ridge junior Harper Silliman went from goat to hero in a hurry Oct. 9 at Jeffco Stadium.

The Eagles’ backup place kicker missed a pair of first-quarter extra points and a 36-yard field goal in the fourth quarter in the Class 4A Plains League opener for Dakota Ridge. Silliman redeemed himself, kicking a game-winning 44-yard field goal as time expired to give Dakota Ridge a 30-27 victory against Ponderosa.
