Dakota Ridge rugby comes up short in state final

WESTMINSTER — Dakota Ridge head coach Marcus Brook had no complaints Saturday after his team fell 30-20 against Arapahoe in the Division II state championship game at North Stadium.
“We just played for a state championship,” Brook stated. “These kids are devastated, but, man, I’m awfully proud of them.”
For the Eagles, the loss was a brutal ending to an incredible year. Not only was this their first season in Division II, but it marked the school’s first appearance in a state rugby final.
