The county commissioners voted against a proposed rezoning request involving a doggie day care center in a vacant building at West Ken Caryl Avenue and South Carr Street.
But they agreed to leave the door open for possible approval if the proponents:
• Use sound-abatement techniques to protect neighbors.
• Limit the number of dogs allowed on the premises.
The canine day-care dilemma came up at a weekly commissioners’ meeting July 17 after being rejected by the Planning Commission July 13.
