LAKEWOOD — The Dakota Ridge Eagles needed someone to do something incredible April 7.
Carly Mace was listening.
“I was like, ‘Well, I guess I should be the person to step it up,’” the junior striker said.
Voila. Mace shattered a tie game against Ralston Valley, scoring a hat-trick over a seven-minute span as the Eagles ran out 5-1 winners at Lakewood Memorial Field.
“It was so exciting,” Mace said. “I haven’t had a hat-trick all year.”
