A prisoner at the Jeffco jail died from an apparent suicide a day after he was found unconscious in his cell.
Timothy Baca, 42, was found unconscious about 7:37 a.m. Monday during a walk-through by a deputy, according to sheriff's spokesman Mark Techmeyer.
Baca received medical attention at the jail and was transported to a local hospital, where he was put on life support. He was pronounced dead about 1 p.m. Tuesday.
