    Transparency lacking when school board adds to construction contracts

    Jeffco school district policy states that if a project is to cost more than $50,000, a competitive bid process must be used. However, if the contractors in question are board member campaign contributors, it appears that this policy falls to the wayside.

    What part of these equations do you not understand? More guns mean more violence and death! Unrestricted access to guns means more violence, not less. Forty percent of gun sales in America have no background checks; 30,000 people are killed with guns in America each year, far more than any other “civilized” country in the world.

    Failure of 3A/3B will mean significant cuts

    Members of the Jeffco school board who referred the $39 million 3A mill and $99 million 3B bond to voters did exactly what the Colorado Constitution requires: They placed the funding decision for the quality of Jeffco schools in the hands of Jeffco citizens.
