Shannon Vigil has been a head coach of at least one sport for 23 seasons. At the end of this year, that will all change as she has announced she is stepping down as the girls basketball coach at Columbine High School. Vigil will transition into a new role of assistant principal.
“I think that this is the end of my coaching career,” explained Vigil. “Maybe one day I’ll coach my grandkids in a youth sport, but this is the end of my high school coaching days.”
